I know that Christmas is far away but please, keep reading I'm a Christmas fanatic and i always plan ahead of time for my next Christmas (i might be a bit crazy but hey we all have favorite holidays). So, because i love my neighbors so much and i get along with all of them i like to make some Christmas canning gifts for them. I was thinking maybe about some homemade vanilla extract but what else? Do you have any ideas?

When canning, I frequently find that I have a small amount of extra material, certainly not enough to fill an entire jar. I made the decision to use those adorable little quarter-pint jars at that point. I now have a ton of them filled with pickled onions, salsa, jams, and jellies. They're ideal for last-minute small presents! I simply take a handful, put them in a tiny bag, and presto

Hahaha for me when it's already half into the year, I already think ahead too so no judgments for you. Anyway, homemade jam is always a hit! Or you can make do with apple butter so it's kinda festive (add a dazzle of cinnamon or something). Or hot cocoa mix!

Google the recipe for "cowboy candy". it is a sweet-hot jalapeno jelly that cans well in small jelly jars and makes great gifts for the "hot sauce lover" friend or family

Those are such nice gifts. And planning ahead for Christmas is a smart thing to do.
