Yes. We've used both the plastic and rubber seal and the metal lid with the rubber which is called the seal loc model. The plastic tattler lids are the better of the two but you can have some not seal. We haven't had a plastic tattler lose a seal but the metal seal loc and the harvest guard brand plastic lids we have also had them lose the seal over time. The seal loc also can pit if you are using salt and vinegar together.
