Special canning coil element for electric range

Does anybody know of a source for "taller" electric coil elements to swap out the original element on your electric range top? I saw a youtube video where somebody had an element from Range Kleen that stands up taller above the enable stove top to prevent discoloring the enamel from the heat of the pot but they don't seem to have any that fits GE ranges. Looking for another source or solution. Thanks

cool idea but pretty limited on fit. GE coils are a bit tricky since their plug in configuration is different from most. I haven't found a true "taller" coil that drops right into a GE, but a workaround I've used is adding high temp ceramic spacers under the element support brackets, lifts the coil slightly and keeps the enamel from getting torched without messing with fit or function, not the cleanest thing but try t out and I'll be here to hear how it goes

What a nightmare "safety features" on electric stoves are. Firstly, you cannot buy a new electric stove that doesn't have "sensi-temp" safety feature. It supposedly shuts off your burner if a pot boils dry, but most will randomly shut off a burner even with liquid in them. I could barely make pasta b/c the pot would come to a boil and I'd put the pasta in, only to look at it 7min later to find it just sitting there. The stove element shut it off to "cool" . Canning was a nightmare. I finally bought 4 "older" coil elements on Amazon without the sensi-temp and realized that they fit every make of stove EXCEPT GE. Luckily, I'm handy, so took a dremel tool and cut an extra notch in all of my burner pans to fit the new elements. Needless to say it was a pain.
Glass top stoves do NOT recommend canning or heavy pans (cast iron) to be used on them so a glasstop stove is out. I'm seriously thinking of throwing the electric stove out and having a pro install a gas stove and tank for me. Gas is so much better for cooking anyway. Sorry for the rant...
